5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to help it function properly and to understand how visitors use our site.

  • Essential cookies: required for the website and checkout process to work (e.g. Wix Stores functionality). These cannot be switched off.

  • Analytics cookies: help us understand site traffic and visitor behaviour, used only with your consent where required.

  • Marketing cookies: may be used if we run advertising campaigns in future, used only with your consent.

You can manage your cookie preferences through the cookie banner presented when you first visit our site, or through your browser settings. Full detail on the specific cookies we use is set out in our Cookie Policy below.

5A. Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can control them.

What is a cookie? A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies help websites function properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site.

Types of cookies we use:

CategoryPurposeCan you opt out?

Strictly necessaryRequired for core site functionality: checkout (Wix Stores), account login, and session security. Without these, the site and shopping cart won't work properly. No, these are essential

FunctionalRemember your preferences (such as cookie consent choices) so you're not asked repeatedly.Yes, via cookie settings

Analytics/performanceHelp us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are popular, and where people drop off, so we can improve the experience. Typically provided via Wix Analytics and/or Google Analytics.Yes, via cookie settings

Marketing/advertisingUsed if we run advertising campaigns (e.g. Meta/Facebook Pixel, Google Ads) to measure performance and show relevant ads. Only active if and when we run such campaigns.Yes, via cookie settings

Third-party cookies Because our website is built on Wix, some cookies are set by Wix itself to enable core platform features (such as Wix Stores and Wix Forms). Where we use third-party analytics or advertising tools, those providers may also set their own cookies, governed by their own privacy and cookie policies (for example, Google's or Meta's).

How to manage cookies

  • On this website: use the cookie consent banner shown when you first visit, or access your preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in our website footer.

  • In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings menu. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect your ability to use certain features, such as completing a purchase.

How long do cookies last? Some cookies are "session" cookies and are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Others are "persistent" cookies that remain on your device for a set period (commonly up to 12 months) or until you delete them manually.

[Note: this section provides a general framework based on typical Wix functionality. Before publishing, this should be checked against your actual live site, once your cookie consent banner and any analytics/advertising tools are configured in Wix, to list the specific cookies actually being set, their exact names, and their exact durations. Wix's own cookie consent tool can often generate an accurate, auto-updating list for this purpose.]

6. How We Share Your Information

We work with a small number of trusted third parties to run our business. We only share the information necessary for them to provide their service, and we require them to protect your data appropriately.

  • Wix.com: our website, hosting, and e-commerce platform (Wix Stores, Wix Forms, Wix Online Programs). Wix processes data on our behalf as part of running our site and handling checkout.

  • Payment processors: used to securely process payments for programs and supplements. We do not store your full payment card details ourselves.

  • Email marketing provider: used to send newsletters and your free checklist, if you sign up.

  • Delivery/courier partners: used to ship physical supplement orders, receiving only the information necessary to deliver your order (name and address).

  • EverWell Connect: if you choose to access Coaching through the link on our site, you will be taken to EverWell Connect, another service operated by us (EverWell Health Ltd) under a different trading name. See Section 7 below for how this affects your data.

We do not share your information with any third party for their own independent marketing purposes.

7. Coaching via EverWell Connect

Our Coaching page links out to EverWell Connect, another service of ours, operated under a different trading name. Alongside GLP-1 and EverWell Connect are both run by the same company, EverWell Health Ltd, we are the data controller for both.

This is important to understand: if you sign up for coaching, you'll create a separate account on EverWell Connect, and the information you provide there, including any health information, wearable data, or logged information such as food, mood, or symptom tracking, is collected and used specifically for delivering that coaching service. It is not automatically shared with, or used by, the Alongside GLP-1 side of our business for other purposes, and it is handled with the additional care appropriate to health-related data. EverWell Connect has its own account, sign-up process and, where relevant, its own specific terms describing how that particular service handles your information, given the more sensitive, health-related nature of what's collected there.

In short: one company, two services, and we treat the health information collected via EverWell Connect with a distinct, higher standard of care, rather than mixing it in with general website and purchase data collected via Alongside GLP-1.

8. International Data Transfers

Our website and services are available to customers both in the United Kingdom and internationally, including the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK (for example, if a third-party provider we use, such as Wix or our payment processor, stores or processes data outside the UK), we take steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with UK data protection law, including relying on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

[This section requires specific legal review given customers based in the US. Depending on where your customers are based and where your service providers process data, you may have additional obligations, such as under individual US state privacy laws (e.g. California's CCPA/CPRA). This should be confirmed with a solicitor familiar with both UK and applicable US privacy law before publishing.]

9. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected:

  • Purchase and order information: retained for as long as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes (typically 6 years under UK law)

  • Marketing/newsletter information: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion

  • Contact form enquiries: retained for a reasonable period to resolve your query, then deleted or anonymised

  • Programme progress data: retained for as long as your account remains active, so you can continue to access your program content

10. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Request deletion of your personal information, in certain circumstances

  • Restrict or object to how we process your information, in certain circumstances

  • Data portability, receiving your data in a portable format where technically feasible

  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (such as marketing emails)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@everwellhealth.co.uk. We will respond within one month, as required by law.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

11. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including relying on the security measures provided by our website platform (Wix) and payment processor. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
